Children in Class 1 are gently introduced to letters and numbers and their qualities through games and songs, counting on fingers and other objects. 

Games and crafts continue to be important to support the dexterity needed for handwriting.

Waldorf education in Class 2 and 3 focuses on developing the whole child through a holistic approach. Additionally, visual, performing, and practical arts, and movement are emphasized to foster a deep love for learning and a sense of curiosity. Tutors create lively lessons that appeal to different learning styles, and hands-on activities, storytelling, and experiential learning are integral parts of the teaching methodology.

In Class 4 and 5 Imitation is gradually replaced by a desire to understand the world and a need to find their own place in relation to it. 

Thus at this age, the children have main lessons in measurement, building, farming and money.
