Our site has been the beneficiary of Waldorf education for almost 50 years, with the Light Root and Chartham Holistic Kindergarten continuing the tradition. We benefit from vast outdoor spaces for play and games, with secure boundaries and lots of trees to climb. Light Root has a main educational building with three spacious classrooms, with traditional blackboards and wooden desks and chairs for the children.

Within the site is Garlinge Theatre - a space for arts, drama with the largest stage in Kent and a capacity for over 300 people. Chartham Holistic Kindergarten is our sister provision, providing government funded places for children between 0-6 yrs old, delivering exceptional Waldorf-inspired education and play for the youngest families.

Oast Studios provides a creative space for artists and creators, with parent co-working space available.
